I was raised within a devout catholic family. I attended an English convent boarding school from the age of 8 and later moved to London at the age of 18 where I began a modelling career. I married a rock musician and spent 8 years in the heady world of the music business. After divorce I needed a complete career change, I ended up in football, working at Chelsea football club and then a major sports star management company whose clients included David Beckham, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker, to name a few. I then moved on to spend 5 years working with other high spirited thoroughbreds, the regulators of English horse-racing, The Jockey Club.... But that is another book!
'The Penance List' is about the power of sex: the misuse of that power and the carnage it causes. Based in Chelsea, London and the Italian Amalfi Coast, it is a thriller involving modern fun loving women who wander through the chase and heartbreak of romance and the not so glamorous world of models, footballers and the media. The reader will look through the eyes of David, a psychotic serial killer, as he weaves in and out of their lives, 'The Penance List' focuses on what becomes of a young beautiful boy after years of sexual abuse at boarding school, how in manhood he ploughs through those who harmed him, his preferred form of torture is humiliation, rape and dissection.
We follow the fun loving Tara and her girls, who enjoy nothing more than to giggle about men and their disastrous sex lives. They have no idea that their every move is being captured on film, that they are on a list.
Having crossed the paths of two psychotic killers (thankfully unscathed), witnessed the wrath of misguided religion and the abuse of money, sex, drugs, fame and power first hand, I was drawn to write this story.
I spent years in the music to film industry so I write visually, with film in mind. 'The Penance List' is now being adapted for film, a thrilling mix of 'Basic Instinct', 'Hannibal Lecter', 'Seven' and 'Sex and the City".
I wanted more glorious time with my characters and so 'The David Trilogy' was born. 'The Penance List ' is followed by ‘Unfinished Business' and 'For My Sins' ... Enjoy!
